Hello,

I'm new to the stock market trading. I have a couple of things I don't understand. I'm using Questrade's as the trading platform. For example, if a stock is currently at 15.04 and I want to buy it if it drops to 14.50, do I need to do a "limit" buy and indicate 14.50 as the limit price? I tried doing this but the order never got executed. Also, if I own a stock that is at 14.50 at the moment, and I would like to sell it at 15.10, is that a "stop" sell with 15.10 stop price? And can I do that if the price drops to 14.10 ? I tried that too and it didn't get executed even though the price was reached. Does stop/limit work in both directions? And finally I'm not sure what a "Stop Limit" is. How does that work? Thanks!
