Quote: "Trading volumes in Shanghai have soared since the beginning of the year, with turnover in the first two weeks at 1.2 trillion yuan (US$154 billion) compared with six trillion yuan for all of 2006 ($772 billion), said the statement, posted on exchange's website."

Class "B" shares trading off their primary relations up to 30% on the same asset. There are rumours of rumours to merge the two as many "B" only listings have trouble with financing. Chinese instituions are prohibited from buying "B" and certain "privileged" western institutions are allowed to buy "A's." So much for effecient market theory.
Wonder whether the liberalizing of foreign exchange possession (still a crime) will draw more money out--or, fill out the "B"s from out to in?
The picture was definitely ugly today and drawing SP back today. _________________ Today is the Tomorrow you worried about Yesterday! |
