Every kind of business is a risk . . . !!!
There is no business in this world is risk free .
you should be prepared to handle any kind of risk .

Another tale of Sisyphus--from the top of the hill:

It's Time for Some Truth

By Jim Cramer

Quote:
Let's cut to the chase. I sit here pretty much every day these days and try to explain why stocks can go up and have gone up. It is a totally unenviable task. I have to deal with the shortfalls as if they are my shortfalls. I argue with the pundits when I see data and I think it is positive, because I believe my eyes, not my ears, which say the data is terrible. It is beleaguering. Beyond belief. Let me give you some examples of the struggle. Apple . Before the tablet came out, when the company first revealed the name of it, the iPad, the catcalls were incredible. Amazing, even. "What was this superfluous device, something no one needed because we had smartphones and netbooks? Why did we need this gizmo? Who would possibly get it?" Now, less than a few months later....

Still haven't felt worse than that oct. 8 at the start of the thread (that's without direct index exposure)--but I can't say to have felt all that much better in between.

More anecdotal evidence that climax moves are behind us:

Heard the phrase "virtuous circle" this week. Things couldn't hold together long enough for the "write-up" recovery, but a stabilizing economy, if it comes, will put some serious leverage into bank stocks--of the old-fashioned kind.

We should get our best chance of relief early next week - as the bank recap scheme and the fiscal stimulus bill start to make progress. Whether that last will depend how quickly both are implemented.

Have a good weekend.
