The FSA issues have been sorted out and Barclays back in the Lehman game.... we need the international helping hands here. But UK inflation still not turning the numbers.

Barclays to raise US$8.9 billion. Up more than 5% as we speak. Also looks like the Japanese is getting back into the act as well, which is doubly important since Japanese financial institutions are, for the most part, very well-capitalized:

They (and Royal Bank of Scotland) kept the pedal-to-the-metal way past the edge. Barclay's is the paradigm of "momentum."
