Another reason why Russia remains a relatively unattractive place to invest in for the long-run - not because of this particular ban, per se, but because of the unilateral decisions that could be made straight from the top:

Russia is the country, which regions don’t have legality on required level until now. History left such luggage as communism. I think it was forbidden in order people wouldn’t have been simply cut and sold at any ways abroad. Gangsters are not afraid of law-enforcement authorities much. When this situation changes a bit, politicians would take off these bans with great pleasure. In fact it can be the regular promise of Russian health protection improvement in the election campaign.
