I purchased some shares of CAT last Friday at market price. I also wrote a covered call for 1 November option. I am looking for CAT to gain some value due to the potential demand for earth moving equipment in the wake of Katrina and Rita. With the federal government subsidizing a massive re-building effort on the Gulf coast, surely the earth moving equipment business should do well in the upcomming months. I would be curious if anyone has any feedback or helpful insight on CAT stock.
