Mauldin's latest "Outside the Box" feature. A must-read, I believe:

Thanks, Victor.

Simon Hunt and I actually exchanged a few correspondences on copper awhile ago. At this point, I am still debating whether to make a trade. Will probably email him again and try to get his take on the latest situations (such as the strike in Chile and so forth).

The "growth at all costs" model that China has adopted for the last decade is now coming back to haunt them. There is really no one else to blame for rising raw material prices except themselves. At some point, the Chinese government will put a stop to all this - and after that, raw material prices will collapse.

Best,

Henry
