But I continue to doubt that these baby steps of 27 basis point hikes will have any significant impact. China also needs more tightening from the BoJ in order to be able to successfully cool down its economy.

Lucky, lucky, lucky...

China raised rates 27 bp. The one year deposit rate is 279 bps, while the 1 year lending rate is 639 bps.
