China’s entrepreneur confidence index fell to 77 from 83.4. This is the lowest in the 2 year history. The wire story says that tighten measures are slowing growth. Inflation expectations increasing.

China’s Bankers Confidence hit a low of 21% in Q3. Wire says record low. A reading under 50 is expected to signal economic contraction.

China Raises Interest Rates for 5th Time This Year in Bid to Cool Inflation

BEIJING (AP) -- China raised interest rates Friday for a fifth time this year in a bid to curb rising inflation.
Rates on loans will rise by 0.27 percent to 7.29 percent as of Saturday, the Central Bank said. Rates paid on bank deposits also will rise.

The announcement came after the government reported this week that inflation in August rose to 6.5 percent, its highest monthly rate in 11 years.
