Economist special report on Globalization. Detailed overview of current state of Globalization; keeps the faith--which I've lost:

There's also the TEI, Templeton Emerging Income that was the standard a couple year ago.

I think we've moved into a savings culture and the EEM growth story over-estimated (as was the "decoupling" theory). The Plan, RTCII, does more for domestic institutions than domestic consumption...hence falling crude and marginal markets.

Had I'd known the Plan before it was announced I could have told you what gold would do today. I'm not sure I can say the same for two weeks from now. I'm looking for this rally to set up shorts--maybe spread India/Russia.

Offhand I think the emerging market debt ETF (ESD) may be worth a play as well.

In terms of Emerging Markets, buy China, Taiwan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, and India.

Russia and Latin America are good for a short-term trade.

Africa and the Middle East may be good buys if they continue to invest in productivity-enhancing infrastructure, but so far, it seems like some of these countries are just content to sit around and watch the $$$ roll in.

They're all singing the same song now...equities, currencies, bonds:

http://seekingalpha.com/article/92978-german-economy-not-a-barometer-for-germany-etfs?source=feed

This was the story on the German economy one step back. Weren't we supposed to buy these because they were feeding OUR boom?
