Many things get stuck when currencies are unstuck. One of the most peripheral qualities of the ECU is also the most central:

Culture comes first.

This is NOT an isolated event from the land without brands:

Quote:
“With this deal, we’ve turned our most competitive international rival into one of us,” Xiang said. “It also reflects China’s rising position in the world’s construction- machinery industry.”

ps Didn't know that was "china's richest man."

Ho-Hum....just more can kicking:

http://www.cnbc.com/id/45609808

Even taken on its own (which I most certainly don't) that's a far cry from the end of the road we were set up for.

I said several weeks ago when Super Sarko jumped all over the brits and we had that 400pts whoosh up that this would be a positive. One thing europe can rally around is pushing back on the Union Jack. And if there's one country that can stand being expunged from the EU it's Gran Britannia.

Do we have a third front brewing in the eurocrisis?

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-12-07/franco-british-alarm-of-1989-comes-true-as-merkel-drives-eu-crisis-plans.html

By retreating in to a core, you are logically pushing away the periphery.

Old wounds haven't healed. The EU brought down the "Iron Lady" and revenge is in the air. If these wacky conservatives get control over their leader watch out.... Yet, aren't they really fighting for more european "presence"?
