Hi all,

Have been using scottrader.com's free demo version of their live streaming market quotes and charts for some time now. Unfortunately the quotes will be delayed by 20 minutes starting January 5, 2006. Sad

Does anyone know of a site that provides simular information at no charge? Very Happy

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Dirk

Hello dknoester,

I used to use Datek in my younger days and they offered free real-time streaming quotes for everyone. I think the fee is now $9.99 a month for non-active traders. How about Scottrade?

That being said, they now offer an "Apex" service where you can get free pretty-much-everything if you make an average of five trades per month over a three-month period:

Frankly, I am surprised that so many online brokers are charging for services nowadays that they were not charging before. Looks like their business models have changed from a "get all the customers you can" model to finally a model that focus on profit margins?

Take care and have a great 2006!

Henry
