Biggest (US) viewership in television history. As mentioned in another thread: the more we have to choose from the more we need to choose what others choose.

Still I predict this goes down as jobs start to fill in the years ahead.

Nice reaction off our stealth buying event. --With one little hitch:

http://www.examiner.com/pop-culture-in-cleveland/groupon-tibet-super-bowl-commercial-angers-china-video

This probably doesn't break the newly minted détente with china but it doesn't help matters. I don't think they "get" our cheap sellout humor. For, china, Tibet is not a one-off cheap grab for attention. It doesn't have to be for us either. Embarassed

Allstate having a little fun with the numbers....except they forgot: people believe, both in their sign and in their insurance company's ability to raise rates. The research has since been pulled from their site.

Can we go back-to-back-to back? This ol' canard paid off bigtime year after year and remains one of the best "indicators" of the year ahead. Statistics and damn statistics...... Twisted Evil

Thank you again, Pittsburgh....we could not have left this Greatest of Recessions without being able to at least put our minds into an old collective grove. Now we the prejudice towards champs, that winning begets winning--in short, the momentum trade--has some basis in science:

Quote:
153.4 million Americans watched at least six minutes of this year's big game, also the largest such audience on record.

The old model may be "clinging" to life--but with that kind of grip don't look to let go anytime soon. Why the big push for GE to disgorge NBC at cycle bottom? The good news--they didn't really.
