I've been working on a data collection system for over 1 year now. We are tracking 8 large companies and have estimated their quarterly revenue within 1-2% every quarter over the last year. We have traded this very successfully with stocks and options and had great short term returns. Our best was 185% return on some options within 1 week around the quarterly announcement.

The reason I am writing is not to "sell" but to get some insight. My partner has asked me to look at making this a consumer site so I'd like some input.

Do you think this is something that could be sold over the internet? What do you think is fair pricing for this data feed? What would be the best way to "prove" our successes with this data? Who do you think our target market should be, consumers, investment companies...?

Thanks for any advice or feedback.
