This study was conducted on tuna sushi in various NY restaurants - but the findings should be consistent across many cities in the US as well. A must-read for those who eat tuna (especially sushi-grade tuna) on a daily or weekly basis:

Even in sydney we have problems, dioxins in homebush bay fish (site of the olympics) plus lead and mercury contamination Confused

Here in Mississippi, you can't eat a serving of catfish caught out of local rivers but twice a month because of mercury levels and pregnant women and children are advised to eat locally caught catfish only once a month. Where exactly is the mercury coming from?
