Dear All,
I am novice except, I can do trading in blue chip stocks and average them out so I get out with profits because of having enough liquidity.
Can someone guide on how closing prices of stocks are calculated? I would like to retain scope of numbers game to closing price calculations of stock prices only. I am also interested in other stock price calculations/valuations but right now I will limit scope to this only.
I am interested in knowing calculation of closing stock prices listed for these indexes :
1. Dow Jones - Country - USA
2. Nasdaq - Country - USA
3. S&P 500 - Country : USA
4. FTSE - Country - UK
5. CAC - Country - France
6. DAX - Country - Germany
7. Nikkei - - Country - Japan
8. Hang Seng - Country - Hong Kong
9. Strait Times - Country - Singapore
10. Sensex - Country - India
11. S&P CNX Nifty - Country - India
Is there a same method followed everywhere/universal standard? Or it is different. If it is different than how? If so than how to check/compare the closing price of a stock listed in two different exchanges simultaneously.
