Following is an email I received from Carl Swenlin at Decisionpoint.com this morning. It turned out that our data was also incorrect - the correct bulls% should be 54.5%, while the correct bears% should be 22.2% - resulting in a bulls-bears% differential of 32.3% - not 38.6% as we had previously outlined in our commentary. I apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Dear Decision Point Subscribers,

In my 7/15 Chart Spotlight article I made the point that the Investors Intelligence bull/bear ratio of 3.18 reflected excess bullishness. Unfortunately, the ratio was based upon incorrect data. The actual ratio of 2.45 does not support the point I was trying to make, and I have pulled the article.

My apologies for the error, but I was acting in good faith on data from a normally reliable source.

Carl
