As we see another 23rd U.S. bank - New Frontier Bank in Greeley, Colorado, was closed by state regulators and bank to fail this year amid mounting losses linked to rising unemployment and the slumping housing market.

Is it safe to invest in stocks while these recessions are still going on, if “Yes” what are the primary precautions should be taken before investing?

It's definitely a great time to buy stocks. Buy when everyone else is afraid, and be afraid when everyone else is buying!

Buying stocks during this time can be beneficial on your part. This is because you can buy stocks at lower than it's true cost, and can sell it at higher cost in due time

Hey! I've heard a lot of good reviews about this site so I thought I might check it out to see what I can learn from it. I'm pretty new to the whole investment business, so hopefully I'll get some good tips, thanks to you guys.

Max DOW is 11300, but unlikely to reach that level. Max low is DOW 400. Imagine your portofolio at DOW 6000. That is very likely. Go to nasdaq chart and put a line through all the market tops since 2000. We are on that line today! We may never see this level in our lifetime again. At least not in inflation adjusted terms. Inflation may happen AFTER deflation runs its course scaring the FED and making them print money like hell at the bottom of it.

It's the "best" time. Just buy the indices.
