Looking for the best books for beginner.

Im looking for some books that will teach me the ins and outs of the stock market. I don't really know much so im looking for something thats beginner level. Also any website or other information would be much appreciated.

For a good background to the changes happening in the world today i.e. the shift from an industrial economy to a knowledge based one check out Alvin & Heidi Toffler's revolutionary wealth. Money might not be as important as you think it will be going forward!

Henry's got a list off the forum.

There's more to learn than is in the money books. I like G. Simmel, Philosophy of Money and general philosphical texts on money. Last year it was simple: earnings yield plus dividend (increase) and presto..... Beware the obvious.
