This is actually the first ETF that covers the space; but several ETNs are already there. As far as I know, they all track indices from the same provider. ETNs give you some issuer credit risk; I have no idea about the tax implications of the different structures, if you're interested you do that research yourself.

There is a broad index that includes shipping and coal MLPs, a narrower one that excludes shipping and coal, and a still-narrower one that tracks natural gas MLPs. The new ETF tracks the one in the middle.

The ETN that tracks the broadest index trades by ticker AMJ and is pretty liquid.
