as another thought - i also had a short 30 year bond position (which by the way i entered too soon and felt some pain in the beginning) that i have closed

i think not far from here (up in interest rates) a meaningful counter trend will start

i tend to sell early (a fault of mine) and buy early - as the spx short - entered too early - the wedge failure last October was persuasive

could not find the thread where you asked shorts when to exit so will post here

wish i could brag but can't - my stocks that i thought wouldn't get hit hard did

but i have the short spx position - still a net loss so not according to plan

but as far as the short spx - glad i have it
