I think folks are still pricing in for a tremendous economic recovery in the Euro Zone - at least relative to the last five years of growth anyway. I think that's the best-case scenario and chances are that the Euro Zone will disappoint.
The policies coming from the top are still moronic, to some extent. e.g. Does it make sense to implement the biggest post WWII tax increase in Germany when you have over 10% unemployment? Does using your best IT talent to "create another Google" or another GPS network make sense, given that these already exist and are many years ahead of anything that the Western Europeans are developing. Why not use your best talent to develop something innovative - as I am sure many Stanford and MIT students are already thinking (not to mention current Google employees who did not get rich off of the IPO).
PD and FCX have most probably topped - but most probably due to internal problems rather than a topping copper price. The fact that folks are now preaching "Peak Copper" tells me we are nearer to the top, at least in timeframe anyway. |

Gold's off as expected. Would have expected more outta Euro/Yen. Copper holding like the irresistible force it is. _________________ Today is the Tomorrow you worried about Yesterday! |
