Good summary of event up to now in Shanghai composite proposing that in the end we will become them--ASX has already gone.

http://financialsense.com/Market/dorsch/2007/0531.html

Interesting the effect of "measly" stamp tax before. That probably won't work this time as there is an air of revolution in this rally methinks.

Moral: what goes up doesn't have to come down.

There's probably a hundred stats in this vein but:

Quote:
Time magazine cites a report by JPMorgan noting that of 37 Chinese companies listed jointly in Shanghai and Hong Kong, eight trade on the mainland at valuations at least double those quoted in Hong Kong.4 It's a frenzy.
This Weeks Mauldin

So much for efficient market thesis. Only 30% GDP is a big stat aiming in the opposite direction.

Pulls out of a 7.2% dive to close higher on speculation that govt. really didn't mean it. Schizophrenic market that's best left behind it's wall. But damange despite (because) non-correlation is done.

Quote:

As stray value of the daily trading limit of the closing prices of companies' shares has accumulatively reached 20% for 3 consecutive trading days, about 264 listed companies on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) published announcements on abnormal fluctuation of stock prices last Saturday, June 2, and trading of their stocks won't be suspended today, June 4...

There's that number thing, again.

And on the "Revolution Theory"
