In this move over from the futures side I see there is a very cleverly crafted system of record reporting that almost guaranties the services of a "tax professional." All sells go straight to the IRS and buys and options and margin interest, short interest and dividends paid and received (adjusted by 45 holding periods..... Definitely biased toward the long with short positions carried through the new year ringing many bells for the taxman. The IRS is now very interested in squeezing not only offshore accounts but tax-designated traders. Gonna just get worse.

Looking at Tradelog. E-trade has an excel download feature. Anybody use this stuff?
