Fannie tried that normalization and got burned. It's as false a notion as "equilibrium." What these PE groups can do in terms of booking their bid up front (and charging points for same) is obscene.

I might argue whether monthly distributions of returns should be "normal" or not.

But the key evidence IMO is the difference in audit vs. non-audit months.
