Trading vs Investing

I read that warren buffett averages over his career an annual return of 20%.

I've also read that in the long term investors typically do better on average than traders, b/c the % of successful investors is higher than the % of successful traders. Although top traders can make far more money.


Me personally I read a book called "Stock Investing for Dummies" then watch Fast Money and visit MarketWatch.com for headlines. (i basically have no idea what i'm doing)

I played with $6k to $10k for the last 4 months, made 23 trades (all tech stocks) and ended up with a return of 11% =)


Opinions/Advice? Do you prefer trading over investing?
