I wholeheartedly agree with Bill. Joining this forum is like joining any other social group outside the internet. We are simply not "faceless" participants - Bill and I have met many times in person and we trust and respect each others work. We only allow external links to outside work for those who have built up their credibility and those whom we can trust.

Hi Trendlines,

As a moderator, I removed your link. We typically don’t enjoy first-time posters coming in and just providing links to their outside work – we find it “spammy.” Ditto for links to your blog inside your forum ID’s “signature” line.

Try instead posting significant portions of your work HERE in the THREAD.

Also try PARTICIPATING in the threads of OTHERS, adding some value.

Then modify your profile – there’s an entry for “website,” if you put your site in their, then a little “WWW” box will appear under each and every one of your posts. Based on the content of your posts, viewers may then be inclined to visit your site directly!

Finally, if you do all that, we’ll be OK with occasional links out to your own work on another site, provided that it’s only occasionally done and that you’re a participating forum member.

If we look back after time and find that all of your posts have no content other than links out, we’ll (I will) can your posts. Tough love.
