When it rains it pours. While the world watches record drought take apart the Australian Wheat crop it's getting dryer up north.
From broker:
"Cropcast’s morning weather summary noted expanding dryness across much of China’s winter wheat area. Scattered showers recently helped to improve moisture a bit in far southern wheat areas of the Yangtze Valley, but dryness continues to stress germination in much of the rest of the belt. This will likely result in poor establishment of the crop, which will make it more susceptible to winterkill. The 6-10 day outlook continues to show a return of showers to southern North China Plain, but confidence remains low in this outlook." |
